Well, my Labs are swimming in the back yard now.
I guess it's time to let them in and put floats on my house.

Just got back from the store and my house looks like an island. I hope this rain slows down soon.

2. North Alabama.
Raining too much for the ground to absorb.

3. I kinda figured.
I'm in Foley.
Saw the radar on Accuweather this a.m. and it looked like the front would once again slide north of us.
Forecast was for 70% chance of rain this p.m.
We got nada.
Just some wind.
Blew garbage cans over and such.

4. I just checked Weather Underground and it looks as if we're
going to see it for another few hours.

I'd rather have snow.

5. Are you sure about the snow thing...
it has its own challenges. This was 2 weekends ago and we didn't get to the house until the snowblower had visited next day. This pic post snowblower.

6. Geeze, I miss those days.
I'm originally from the Midwest and loved those days and weeks as a kid.

I can remember building an Igloo once that lasted into April.

But, then again, I was a kid and didn't have to shovel. :)

12. I'm no kid,
and I'm thankful for 5 foot wide, tractor mounted snowblowers. We shovelled out the rear and drove back far enough to bypass the remaining pile.

8. I've got a frozen swamp out back.
Thaws out a bit during the day, freezes during the night. My dogs bring the mud in, of course. At least your guys are water dogs - mine are desert hounds, and they hate the wet and cold.

13. Sounds ominous. I hope you don't get a flood. Glad you have labs who can enjoy it.
