1. my job let me go on furlough 2 weeks early

I get to collect unemployment and have 6 weeks off

our state is having major issues on that, but the local office says they have a 'secret number' I can call if I go in. I'll get my paperwork tomorrow and get that handled

11. Cops busted a ring before new years

And they had 3 garbage bags of loot!!!

Unfortunately most of the stuff left was not the higher quality stuff, but my gold necklace from Saudi Arabia that has my name in Arabic was in their junk pile. I also found one earring and a very small charm.

If nothing else, the fact that I know they are in jail and facing charges on 21 burglaries makes me smile...

13. went to the beach with my kid and my dog yesterday

instead of going to work. It was 72 degress, crystal clear and and the waves were perfect. Windows down, music up.... great day!!
