My son called from Iraq just before Obama was sworn in.

He is besides himself with joy. My youngest son called right after as he was walking to class. This is a wonderful day.

Oh, the joy of seeing Bush leave. I hope I can finally stopped swearing at the TV.

Son reports it's frosty just west of Bagdad today and that he has a cute little mouse living with him called Mr. Jingles. He wants to bring him home and put him a mouse circus.

Lelapin and I were on the phone through the swearing in and speech. I wish she was here with me, but talking to her on the phone was good enough. I got to share it with her.

She called again on her way to class to see if I saw shrub's helicopter leave. She said she'd never seen such a beautiful sight. ;)

5. Yes, Mr Jingles from the movie the Green Mile.

My son loved that movie. He sent me a photo of the little mouse and it turns out that Iraqi mice are as cute as hell.

I'm looking forward to catching a glimpse of the Border patrol BLM mustangs from right here in Eastern Washington, in the parade.
