5. Yeah, and Sac town will never host a Super Bowl
because you can't provide the weather American football fans crave.

7. Also, we lack a football stadium that holds more than a few thousand.
And sufficient hotel rooms. And a football franchise.

14. Hey - at least you have reasonable excuses.
Philadelphia has all of those things, yet we will never see a Super Bowl. It sucks.

If San Francisco gets around to building a new stadium to replace the ashtray by the bay, maybe they'll get one? That's as close as I'm likely to get, and I might be able to go that way- my Dad's had niner tickets forever, so he'd get to buy Super Bowl tix for face value if they hosted.

17. The Niners are my favorite away team.
I have a whole bunch of Niner gear.

Since their hey day, I haven't seen much of them - they only televise on the East Coast when they're worth watching, apparently.

20. They'll be back.
They're just going through their rebuilding process. After having talent like Montana, Young, Rice, Stokes, et al....they need time to find replacements. Those guys played the most beautiful football games I had ever seen.

Meanwhile, the Eagles DO have what they need, and they manage to fuck it up every year. :eyes:

21. I know.
I took LK to his first game last year. My kid sister actually bought this jersey for him the day I told her I was expecting. That's the kind of fans my family are: their first thought for supplying the new baby was vintage Niner gear. He has matching gold pants and a helmet, too.

16. Heh.
It "snowed" (a/k/a a bare dusting) up in north Florida a number of years ago, and you'd have thought the world came to an end. People were trying to find snow tires. Snow tires for a dusting that was gone by 10 am. Hilarious.

4. Is this code for "cocaine snorted off the gigantic fake tits of one of Tampa's many strippers"?
Because yeah, I think we can safely assume that's part of the pre-game festivities.

It's basically air passed over heated coils and pushed into the living area.

29. I grabbed this one at a concert, and of course concert merch is rediculous.
But it's nice, and he likes it, and I used it to win an argument (he told me not to buy him a t shirt, so I didn't) so it was well worth the crazy overpricing.

Great show- teeny tiny bar in a converted warehouse, packed to the gills.

32. Those are always the best shows, though...
Charlotte's best clubs always involved some reclaimed industrial/warehouse space...
and the best place i've EVER been was formerly an old factory in Atlanta, which is basically three clubs in one!

34. I know.
I went and saw them again a few months ago in San Jose, and while that was still a pretty small show- 4K people in a college gym- it wasn't nearly as great as the really, really small show.
