SUCKS!!!

:hide:

He's got two modes of singing, mumble mumble and the sound a water buffalo makes if it's kicked in the nads.

26. I have no preference. I wasn't paying much attention to the game or halftime show. Just saying I
never really got into him. I like him as a person because he seems like a really decent guy but his music never really did it for me.

5. He was his normal 2nd rate Dylan self
He does what he does, and he does it well. But I'd rather have had Manfred Mann play Springsteen covers instead. At least that way we'd get jivey Moog solos over hard-rockin' guitars.

12. I'd rather listen to Springsteen sing than Dylan sing
At least Springsteen can form a note with his voice. Dylan sounds like a goat giving birth.

OK, he's not the best singer in the world but many of his songs, and his band, rock! And if you listen to the lyrics, there's a great deal of depth and poetry. Ever hear "The River"?

And he does a lot of good in the world.

Plus, he'll be 60 this year and he's still HOT!!! :D:

30. Bruce playing The River on a sidewalk in Copenhagen
On 7-23-1988, Bruce Springsteen skipped a VIP-arrangement during his tour in Denmark and took a walk down the street. There he met the street musician John Magnusson and asked him if he could borrow one of his guitars. Apparently they played a few songs together while about 50 people stopped around and listened to the music. This clip was recorded by one of them. The performance made the cover of some Danish newspapers the day after.

13. All you need to do is sleep with bruce
and you get to hold a guitar on stage with him.

Gawd, she sucks too.

And little stevie needs to change his name, after seeing the way his guitar sticks out on his fat belly now.

Clarence is always the coolest guy on the stage.

Born to run is so boring after 30 years.

Yawn, glory days indeed.

His voice has pure wisdom and heft in it - kind of a more rocked-out Dylan. He's one of my favorite artists.

16. my 2 cents' worth.
Bruce was not on his best night.

His voice was rough.

They're all getting older, especially Little Steven. And yes, the girls hate Patti, the wife who strums a guitar on stage.

But comparing him to Dylan?? Yuck.

Dylan mumbles all the time. He wrote good songs for OTHER PEOPLE to sing.

28. Couldn't agree more.
I fucking HATE his music. I watched a rerun of "Two and a Half Men" during the halftime show so as not to hear a single note of that fucking drivel he laughingly calls "music." I swear, I'd rather listen to Britney Spears, and to give you an idea of what that means I'm a 45 year-old male who still thinks Iron Maiden is the epitome of recorded sound.

I will never, EVER understand why Springsteen's music is popular. EVER.

At least his earlier stuff. It is an acquired taste, as is Maiden. It's not for everybody.

35. I loved his performance! Reminded me of how good he is live.
Yes, he's older now but so are we. When his music first came out, I couldn't stand him either. Then every so often I'd hear a song I liked, and eventually there were a number of them. But I couldn't understand why people made such a big deal of him, and they'd tell me you had to see him live. So I went to see him on "The River" tour. I was probably the least familiar with his music than anyone else in the place, but he totally blew me away and won me over. I've seen a lot of concerts through the years, and I can honestly say that he is the best performer I've ever seen.

Watching him at the Superbowl got me psyched to actually get up early tomorrow so I'll be up when tix to his shows here go on sale. Probably don't have a great chance of getting through to purchase tix but I'll give it a try any way.
