Wow antibiotics are amazing |
|
I am blown away. I was so sick 12 hours ago I didn't think I could stand up. Went to urgent care and got antibiotics. Only took one dose and I am literally running up and down steps doing laundry and all the other weekend chores I was too sick to do yesterday and today.
Maybe they gave me meth by mistake.

Sure it wasn't an amphetamine? Make sure you take all of the prescribed antibios, though. We don't need more super bacteria floating around.

2. I envy you. When I was that sick, it was the flu...a virus!!! |
|
Doctor: No antibiotics for you! :grr:
Happily, it became pneumonia, and THEN they gave me antibiotics. :woohoo: Antibiotics are teh awesome!
I'm glad you're feeling better! :hi:

4. I thought I had strep cause it's going around |
|
But it is only a sinus infection, bronchitis and an ear infection. Plus I have an infected tear duct. Yuck. That one really made me scratch my head.
I am just amazed that I feel so much better only 12 hours after I went to urgent care. It's incredible.
I have had pneumonia. It so sucks.

12. Ooh blech I had that in December |
|
Yep, everything goes at once--sinuses, ears, eyes, etc. etc. etc. That particular illness is a right bitch, that's for sure. But my right ear didn't recover--well, it had a relapse--till I also used antibiotic drops. I loves me the antibiotics too!
Glad you're feeling better! :hi:

16. Well, my colds and flus usually turn into sinus infections. |
|
I usually avoid the flu ----=====8---0, but this year I waited to long for the shot.
Hopefully, the surgery I just had will aleviate most of my sinus problems.

5. For a moment, let's pretend that I'm a doctor with many years' experience |
|
My prescription? Don't overdo it! If you were that sick 12 hours ago, then you've scarcely recovered--you shouldn't be running up and down any steps just yet. The laundry will wait. The other chores will wait (well, as long as none of the chores actually required immediate attention).
Get some rest and let the antibiotics do their work. Take all the pills, no matter how good you feel in the meantime and no matter what it does to your poop.
Best wishes for a speedy convalescence!

You didn't listen to me breathe either. Or take my pulse. Or blood pressure. Or temp.
Hey what kind of doctor are you??

11. Just read a fascinating story about the invention of antibiotics. |
|
It's called The Devil under the Microscope. I don't remember the author.
