I hate February
That is all.

On Thursday it will have been 22 years since I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. I get a little depressed and wiggy in February.

I will get over it.

3. Just keep thinking - only a few more weeks to St. Paddy's Day
and all the corned beef, cabbage, and green beer you can indulge in.

For me, January is the worst month. I get Seasonal Affective Disorder, although not as bad as I got it in Seattle. By February, you can see the days growing a little longer, although it is still very cold.

5. I do too, but for different reasons
Even though it has only 28 or 29 days, it seems longer than any other month. It's cold, it's gray, the lawn is a dull beige, there's no color anywhere. The tree pollen starts making me sneeze, cough and wheeze. The car gets filthy with road salt. The snow looks like dirty rags.

February basically sucks in most parts of the country.

Now, you need a hug!
Congratulations of making it through the past 22 years, and here's to another 22 plus 22 plus 22!

6. Thank you.
I kind of miss the slush and stuff now that I live where there is not much appreciable change in weather from winter to summer.

meadows here in upstate NY.

20. I left my Yule greenery up
Edited on Mon Feb-02-09 07:15 PM by MorningGlow
As well as the electric candles in the window. I was going to take them down on Imbolc, but today I decided maybe it should all stay up just a little while longer...

(On edit: greenery=fake garland, not a Christmas tree waiting to go up with a spark)

25. Our Yule tree is still up.
Not because I want it to be, but more because I physically do not have the stamina to deal with it at the moment. It is a plastic tree too.

12. Aw, wow, KitchenWitch
You are awesome for how you have beat cancer and not only that but been so vocal about the causes you care about.

I can't even tell you what an inspiration you have been to me, and I'm trying to spread this to my sisters and my parents.

Thank you.

I'm so happy to celebrate your 22 years of victory over cancer.

February is a depressing month: cold, dark, short days.

But Spring is just around the corner!

We will make it!

I'm not all that fond of February myself but for the fact that I came into the world during that month and I celebrate 31st anniversary on the job the very next day.

19. And the spelling is dumb.
Who says feb-ru-ary?
NOBODY!
That's who.
We all say feh-bew-wary.
We need an amendment to the constitution to change it.
Yeah!

23. My dear KitchenWitch!
Aw, sweetie...

Hugs to you...

I'd be wiggy too, with that history behind me.

But remember, it's behind you!

You were stronger, and you beat it...

You are a beautiful woman with a beautiful, loving, strong soul!

And I am so honored to be your friend.

Never forget!

cancer.

This gives hope to a lot of people.

You are awesome. Your posts mean a lot to me, and I know they must mean a lot to othes too.
