I'll start with the things I like least, so I can end on an upbeat note...

1) I have a tough time with jealousy.
2) I'm slow to forgive and forget, unless forgiveness is asked.

What do I like best?

1) When life sucks for me, I can still find humor in the situation.
2) I tend to look at myself honestly, acknowledging and accepting my flaws.

I've been trying a Buddhist approach of recognizing them, accepting them, and avoiding any tendency to act on them. It doesn't eliminate the flaws; but it makes them less damaging at least...

32. Thanks everyone... I'm glad I am not the only one who is intrigued by

pondering stuff. So much of our culture has to do with defining ourselves by our job, our material wealth (or lack of it), the way we look, even, the physical things about us.

I think sometimes it's good to remember the intangible things that have value - or priceless.

I also think it can be constructive to think of what we aren't happy with (it's also a lot easier for people to rattle off their negatives, at least that's been my general experience, but it can be interesting to consider the positives - I've surprised myself with realizing what I thought I liked about myself wasn't what I honestly liked - until I actually deliberately thought about it. Of course, all that did was make me more curious as to why... and there you go. More thinkin'

In the inimitable words* of Churchy La Femme, (said with a great degree of annoyance, "Well, you got me to thinkin' and spoiled my WHOLE DAY."

*I'm working off memory that is at least a decade old, maybe two.
