3. OMG - I can sooooo feel for you.
After I had my 2nd son, I came back to work.

I worked for a criminal defense firm at the time - and guess who my very first client was? You guessed it. A repeat offender, child molester style.

I just remember wanting to run out of the room, get into my car, and be back home with my baby.

They're truly the scum of the earth.

17. Ack!!!

You are a professional -- and that is impressive, because you are also a caring human being.

I am glad to know there are people like you out there looking out for the vulnerable!

19. Understand what you are all about....
A little over ten years ago, I had to take a juvenile rapist up to the hospital for a blood draw for DNA (now it is collected with cotton swabs). This "misdirected" youth and his fellow offender had committed vile acts while armed with a handgun to a young mother while her sleeping baby was right next to them; vile acts I won't describe.

Imagine how I wanted to choke the rotten bastard when he started crying when the nurse pulled out a needle to do the blood draw. He could do those terrible things, but cried at the sight of a needle.

Though some people here don't like police, from one to another, it's good to find another one.

22. I truly admire you for
your restraint. It takes a special personality to do your job. My nephew is a cop too, and I too admire him for his professionalism.

My neighbor is a court reporter, and as you know, they can not discuss cases, but she says that she's almost to the brink of tears when she hears testimony when child abuse is involved. I don't think I could do that job either.
