The difference between a generic consumer level headphone and a good audiophile set
is AWESOME.

I have here, on my head right now, a pair of Grado Labs SR80's, not their top of the line, but awesome none the less and worlds better than anything from any consumer level maker.

Bonus, you can buy them for 95 bucks plus tax and/or shipping...

12. Looks wise, I would rate them somewhere around a 4
Edited on Wed Feb-04-09 11:18 PM by Pierre.Suave
but sound, a definite 9.

especially this pair. The store gave me their demos until they get my SR80s in stock.

16. That was pretty nice of them.
Sound is more important than looks. I want a nice pair of over-ear headphones for air travel. I think that will be a better option than noise-canceling headphones.

Oh yeah, since I am back in an apartment, I will need a good pair of on-ears to rock out loudly with. ;)

That just means you get the right to spend too much money before the average sap out there. ;)

43. You should get over-ears WITH noise cancelling.
Believe me, on a plane, that'll make a huuuuuuuuge difference. Plus, when you're not listening to tunes, instant quiet! :hi:

20. Smart. Could they possible be ten times better?
No, but they might be 20% better, or less, and there would still be market for them.

I have a lot of respect for those appreciate the best, whether or not they end up owning them.

Ultra high quality is very, very, cool.

Sound incredible, and he only paid a little over a hundred bucks. They stood out to me, as my dad was a big fan of Koss, therefore so am I.
