7. I've had that feeling.
It's most likely in your mind and the more you think about it, the more convinced you are it's actually happening.

A few years ago, I was walking home from a friend's. It was late spring, so very warm outside and the sun had already gone down. As I was walking down this deserted residential street, I noticed a car turn down one of the streets in front of me and then a minute later, passed behind me on another street, flipped around and stopped on the other side of the road. The driver never got out and that really freaked me out.

Nothing happened, though. I kept looking back the further I got away from the car and eventually reached a busy street.

I'm guessing the person was searching for a house, found it and was probably waiting outside for someone to come out.

10. i once got the feeling in a grocery store about a guy who kept getting on every aisle i was on
so i started going to random parts of the store and he kept popping up. freaked the hell out of me. i started to walk out and he started following me, that's when i really got freaked out. i made a call to a friend and had them stay on the phone with me while i walked to my car. the guy followed out into the parking lot and then kind of just wandered around while i was getting into my car. as i was driving off i noticed him going back into the store. freaked me out.

12. Wow, you just totally reminded me of something that happened a couple summers ago.
Edited on Thu Feb-05-09 12:38 AM by Drunken Irishman
Maybe it was last summer, I don't know.

Anyway, I was at a park by my house running, had just finished up and decided to leave. When I was driving out, I stopped off at some bathrooms to get a drink of water because I was fairly thirsty from the run. It's a pretty busy bathroom and there were a lot of cars in the parking lot. I didn't go in, since the fountain was outside. Anyway, I drank some water and then got back into my car. I noticed a guy start his car the second I was pulling out, but didn't think much of it. I pull out onto the park street and begin slowly winding around toward the exit and he's right behind me.

Again, I thought nothing of it because there is only one way out. So I get up to the major street the park exits onto and I turn right at the light and so does he. But my flag isn't raised, since there are only three ways to go from there (straight, down a residential street, left/right onto the busy road).

So I drive down this street and up toward the next light and turn right, so does he. At this point, I'm starting to get a bit nervous, because now he's followed every move I've made. Driving down this road toward my house, I realize if on the off chance he is following me, I don't want him to know where I live, so I decide to turn down another residential street and sure enough, I turn down it and so does he. Now I'm panicked, so I quickly pull to the side at the last second and he passes me by. Thankfully there was some traffic, so I wasn't completely alone on the street. Once he turns down another street, I flip around and get back on the main road I was just one. As I'm driving down the street, I notice him in the other lane and he passes me. So I flip up another street, again not wanting him to see where I live and I take that all the way up to the next major street and then back down to the street my street is on and I don't see him again.

It was freaky. I have no doubt in my mind he was following me. Especially after I turned onto that last street and parked, only to see him on the other street again heading back toward the park.

Not sure what he wanted, but it freaked me out.

22. You really need to find a new grocery store
The bag boy was pevvy but understandable; stalking a woman from aisle to aisle to parking lot is just creepy.

13. You just described my entire childhood.
I was always afraid of the dark when I was a kid. So much so that it affected my sleeping habits. I still get creeped out sometimes in certain scenarios at night. I have to have the doors closed and locked if I'm home by myself. Sucks really, I have always had that feeling that somebody is lurking just beyond the light cast from the house. And I visualize faces in the windows and creepy, witchy women peering up at me from the side of the bed.

I live in the country, and sometimes get that feeling. I have a dog that barks at anything that is out of the ordinary. It helps.
