in a distant DU past...free, wild, abandoned sexual content and unbrideled lust were allowed and plentiful in the DU Lounge.

However, as is often the case, some folks took it a bit too far. As in far enough to be creepy and disturbing rather than fun and sexy. The result? The "fun was over." Skinner quite rightly asserted that this is, after all, a political website and there are myriad places on the internet one can go to engage in sexual banter...or creepiness...whichever suits. DU was never intended to be one of them. So he's asking us to be adults. Not prudes, just adults. Confine our banter to the stuff of prime-time-possibly bordering on late-night television or a professional demeanor suitable for an office (with a sense of humour).

I don't mean to put words in his mouth. Bottom line: you can find enough of that stuff other places. Its not what we're here for.
