How many days could you go without spending ANY money? |
|
No paper. No gas. No smokes. No coffee. No lunch. No vending machine. Etc.
This will exclude any use of electricity, cable, heat or things of that nature that are ongoing bills.

excluding those things and my rent, I've spent less than $100 in the month since I moved to NYC/Yonkers.

4. ya know Proles, you are a philosopher at heart... |

  That's a really good question. I was thinking about that the other day, and I hadn't really had to think that way probably since I got out of college. Now with kid, house, cars, tuition, and all that is supposedly needed to support same, I think it's way too easy to spend money that I don't need to spend.
We have quit eating out much since husband is on a low-salt diet and it's hard to find restaurants with those options. That seems to free up some cash.

I pay quite a bit for gas because I'm a courier but I get reimbursed for that. Otherwise I could go for several weeks at a time with spending very little to no money.

7. depends on how much I've stocked up |
|
anywhere from 0 days to a month, I guess. I smoke and drink coffee everyday. There have certainly been times where I've gone weeks without going out shopping for anything though.

Would using gift cards previously received count as spending money?
If you count out purchasing that I am required to do for work, I could probably make it a month or more. I generally only buy gas for my personal car once a month these days. I have food that would last me at least a month if it had to. Towards the end, It would involve a lot of Rice, but it could be done. Don't smoke or have any real addictions other than books. I have a full shelf of about 20 unread books, but that might just be the limiting factor. I suppose I could walk to the library if it came down to it.
Why do you ask?

I gotta have my coffee too.
So, maybe I don't fit your OP question.

10. I now often go weeks at a time. |
|
Of course that's because I go weeks at at time without leaving home. I only spend money when I go out, when I pay monthly bills, or when I need to make a necessary purchase.
The days of spending money every day are over.

11. I buy groceries and pay bills. |
|
Other than that, I don't leave the house anyhow. So, Other than bills and groceries, I'm not spending on a daily basis anyhow.
