If I work in a gift shop is it okay for me to say to customers who want to use my phone "oh you can |
|
use the phone at the customer service desk next door"? Cause I've refused one person the use of my phone and they looked at me shocked.
Granted I didn't do the blurb about the phone next door. I've had a really bad experience with people using my phone and I want to stay safe.

1. They want to use your personal phone? |
|
I would NEVER let a customer use my personal/cell phone. No, I don't think you're out of line at all.

5. Unless they need to call 911, there is no reason a customer should expect |
|
to be allowed to use the phone at a business - that's just bizarre. Unless you work at some ultra-high-end gift shop that caters to the pampered and spoiled, I'd say that shocked customer needs to come back to reality...

6. Thank you. I think you are right. I'll not let anyone use my phone from here on in. |
