10. Mine does sometimes.
One comes when I call and put my hand down to give her scratchins. The other one comes when I jingle this little bell in her play ball.

while the other two come running. Oberon always looks at me like "well ,this had better be good"! when he finally saunters into the room and sits down.

12. my ginger tabby Keiko comes when I whistle
He used to run to me, but those days are over. Now he walks, and when he gets to me he falls flat over on his back. It's the cutest thing ever.

14. Yes, both of my cats come individually when I call their names.
:loveya:

I swear that Silver thinks he's part Dog. Millie Dear isn't quite that willing to follow me around or run every time I call, but she'll walk over at a sedate pace. :)

Our big boy Mojo, the Maine Coon, responds when we call him. His brother, Oscar, flips us the bird.

16. Like a herd of buffalo
. . . unless I need to go somewhere and they don't want to come in off the lanai. Then they get that selective hearing all kids have when they want to pretend they don't know you're talking to them. (Is two a herd? I'm going by sound quality, mind you.)

23. I didn't see your response until after I posted mine
Two does indeed make a herd of buffalo based on the sound, I have two and when they're running that's exactly what it sounds like.

42. I feel vindicated, TY all
I thought maybe the awesome sound was merely because Chloe is a monster over 15 pounds, but little Chiyo weighs nothing and she can still clomp around when she's feeling feisty.

17. All I have to do to get Piglet's attention is fail to ignore her completely. She's VelcroCat.
If I call any of the other cats, Piglet will show up first. Dora, Vader and Trin will both come when I call them, but not as enthusiastically or reliably as Piglet- their worlds are much less centered on me.

25. Two do- Two Do not
The two youngest, that I raised from kittens, do. The older two adult rescues do not. One is just a loner tom cat and the other is extremely skittish.

27. Two of mine do, one does not
The two that come when I call them are cats we got as adults, the one that does not we got as a kitten. However, the one we got as a kitten is skittish. We believe her parents were feral.

31. If my cat's name sounds like a pull-tab can lid being
pulled off, then yes, it comes to the sound of it's name.

Otherwise, it's asleep and that apparently makes it stone deaf.

If they've been sleeping it takes them a little while to "come to." :)

Ah, kitties. Life just isn't worth living without 'em. :loveya:

Sometimes he just doesn't feel like it.

He always looks up when his name is called, though, as if to say, "What? What do you want?"

38. Sometimes
But usually they prefer to wait until I have my laptop on my lap and I’m drinking a cup of hot tea.
Bonus if I'm eating a bowl of oatmeal or soup.
That’s when at least 3 of them insist on snuggle time.

ignore me and keep sleeping. They do meet me at the door and they do cuddle with me on the bed. But no...they aren't dogs.
