16. It's a must see.
If you don't have a wide screen, sit close to the TV to get the cinematic effect! :)

We were lucky enough to see it on the big screen during a re-release (in the late 80's I think). It's made for the theater.

20. It is. I had the good luck to see it first release.
The audience gasped more than once at some of the scenes. It's everything great that a film should be.

6. I'm kind of disappointed in the lack of foreign-language films in the list
but there are enough classic Hollywood films to make up for the disappointment.

9. I missed One Million BC with Carole Landis the other day.
Damn! She was pretty hot! Should have had a bigger career and met a very sad end.

One film everyone should see is The Conversation on the 20th by Francis Coppola. Made it between Godfather 1 and 2. A GREAT film!

10. Haven't decided, but what a fantastic schedule!
As many of you know, I canceled all but basic-basic cable, but somehow, TCM comes in anyway--a bit fuzzy, but still watchable.

And it's the only channel for which that is true.

14. Might be worth checking out.
There's a lot of stinkers on the instant view list, but a good selection of classics, documentaries and TV shows.

15. We saw "Network" last weekend
I wondered to myself what Paddy Chayefsky would have to say about the fact his satire is now a bit too close to the truth re: network television...

21. I love TCM!
It's always one of the first channels I check, so I don't need the Oscar winners just to tune in, but I love anything with Cary Grant, Gary Cooper, so many! But I'd like to catch Fiddler on The Roof and Some Like It Hot Again!
