3. This is the first time they've included cds |
|
The Red Rockers cd (a re-release of "Schizophrenic Circus" and "Good As Gold") was on my to-get list anyway, and that would have run me at least 10 bucks.
The Loreena McKennitt cd is some sort of "bonus disc" called "The Journey Begins". It includes The Bonny Swans, The lady of Shalott, God Rest ye merry Gentlemen, a Spanish version of Dante's Prayer, and the single remix of Mummer's Dance.

5. I like the cut of your jib! |

That's what I was looking for, but there was nothing like that today. In the past I've found some fun stuff on UFOs and such.

7. If you saw what their budget looks like, you might think so |
|
The Board of Aldermen has never given the library the funding it deserves. It is one of the best managed departments in the city, has a young, dynamic director, and manages to handle its internal operations better than any other city operation, but it always gets underfunded.
I guess the library doesn't hire enough of the aldermen's idiot nephews for do-nothing jobs.
As a result, Manchester has an acquisitions budget that is smaller than that of neighboring communities with a quarter of our population.

After the two day sale, the doors close, books are reorganized/'neated' up, and the doors open to "Buck-a-Bag"! HooWee! :-)
