Post something you like about Rhode Island.
Because no one else is gonna do it. :P

My answer is, of course, I was born and raised there.

Let's all go to Newport Creamery or Dell's!

:woohoo:

46. Do you have PSDS?
You know, for your earrings? :)

This is a good site for homesick RIers -
http://mylittletown.com/ornaments.htm

My husband is native RI and I lived there for 20 years although we're now in Virginia. I bought my husband the Del's ornament and the Haven Brothers ornament for Christmas this year.

What can you say about a state that counts as a landmark a giant concrete blue bug on top of a pest control building? I always make fun that the state symbol is an anchor with "HOPE" printed on it - what exactly is the message there?

But I kid. I LOVE RI and go back frequently. Warwick? Governor Francis Inn, anyone?

John Chafee was a Republican whom I could actually like, respect and admire and I probably would have voted for him if I could -and I don't say that about many Republicans. Ditto for Lincoln Chafee, although he's no longer a Republican
