1) Do you like candy? What is your favorite?

I'm not usually in to sweets. But Butterfingers might change my mind.

2) Do you have a favorite hangout? How often do you go there?

I do. The "ladies" bar. But it's too fuckin' cold now! I don't like smoking outside and freeaing my ass off! And some of the drama turned me off. I go there maybe once a month now.

I'm an omnivore. But when I am not feeling well, meat seems to heavy on my stomach. So I'm a little of both

Yes. And it pisses me off. There was no traffic ANYWHERE! I just paid the damn ticket.

I am single now. I do miss the companionship, but I am not sure how to answer. I seem to be getting invites now for more, but I'm a bit leery. I'm not going through THAT shit again. So, I guess I am not in a hurry. Maybe, maybe not.

All my relatives are freepers! But only one is obnoxious. I feel badly for him cause he lost his wife of 50 years last year, and is so lost and heartbroken.

But he is so damned bigoted and stupid. He sent me an email today that suggested we should have broken into the houses of the "people" attending the Inauguration, to "get our all our stolen stuff back."

Pisses me off to no end!

7) What is your favorite genre of TV programs or movies?

I like mysteries, crime dramas, and thrillers. Or documentaries on serial killers and murderers. They just facinate me, in the senese of looking into their minds to see what makes them tick.

And also the programs that made some have multiple personalities due to atrocities they endured as children. Not the same, AT ALL.

My dog now, but he can't help it. He has a place locked into my heart forever.

Omnivore but nearly vegetarian. I only buy locally and sustainably raised meat, I usually save it for special occasions, otherwise if I'm eating out with friends and there's no good veg selections or if we're specifically going to a favorite steak or bbq place.

Snickers, I guess--it's the first one that came to mind and a good ol' standby. However, I LOVE caramel, so if somebody gave me a heart-shaped box of chocolates, I'd eat all the square caramel ones first.

There's an independent coffee shop about 10 minutes away from my house. I go there once every couple of weeks to stock up on beans, but only spend time there occasionally, when I have writer's block and need a change of scenery to get the juices flowing. (It works, too.)

Omnivore--I love hamburgers too much not to be.

I love supernatural fiction and sci fi, like BSG and Lost, and even Pushing Daisies, but I also love wry comedies like The Office.

Alas, weekly. I hate going to the supermarket, but there are things we end up needing every week (deli turkey, bottled water, kitty litter, bagels), so off I go every Monday or Tuesday morning.

Ohhhh yeah. Cat. Pisspot. She's a nervous wreck--always has been. Don't know what happened to her before we adopted her, and don't want to know. She'd much rather be an only cat, and she's made that quite clear. Our other female uses her as a chew toy, so that doesn't help. When she has a hairball, she gets pissed off and poops out in the open, usually the dining room. If the food dishes are empty in the morning and Mr. MG, who's first up, doesn't fill the dishes fast enough, she poops in the kitchen. All I can say is thank goodness for hardwood floors and Method cleaning spray. She's lucky we didn't have her turned into a hat years ago.

1. Yes, hard to pick a favorite.

2. My favorite hangout used to be the Rockin' Taco Cantina but they got taken over by some new owners and are currently closed for renovation. I like going to the local Oggi's Pizza as well, they have some good pizzas and excellent beers.

3. Definitely not vegan, no need to elaborate.

4. I've had a couple parking tickets but never one of those.

5. Single, its great. I can do whatever the fuck I want and I enjoy having that freedom.

6. My mom's side tends to have the same political ideals that I do so I can relate to them easily. My dad's side however, holy shit (pun intended). I have a couple of relatives who I like to call "Dixiecrats" (my uncle is one of them) - they would never vote for a Republican but their ideals lean toward the side of the modern GOP and its mainly due to the religious fundamentalism that breeds in their part of the country. So it is really difficult. When I'm around them I almost never bring up politics unless somebody else does.

7. Crime drams are great. I love Monk and Psych as well since they deal with murders on their show but they actually have a sense of humor. I'm watching The Wire right now and really enjoying it, just finished Dexter and really enjoyed that.

I also like comedies like Arrested Development, Seinfeld, and animated shows like the old Simpsons, Family Guy, and so on and so forth.

8. Costco is the answer to that. I can shop for necessities but also other crap too.

9. My one dog now is driving me nuts. Constantly needs attention, poops in the garage, barks all the time. But I like my dogs.

My dog cries and carries on when I leave the house without him. He is so damned spoiled.

Worst thing he ever did was during a several day power outage. I MUST have my coffee! I'd make those trips to the local quick shop. One time I bought a sub sandwich. I was starving. I put it on the kitchen table and went to run one more errand.

Little shit pulled it off the kitchen table by the wrapping, and I came back to find nothing but pieces of lettuce all over the kitchen floor. I just about started crying.

I called my dad, and he said get over here and stay here. He had a home cooked meal waiting for me and a warm bed. I was so starved
and so tired and freezing after 3 days without power.

1.) I dislike candy. Sweets, in general. I like combinations of salty and creamy...my "candy" is feta cheese. I eat around a pound a week with kalamata olives, hummus, roasted red peppers, pita squares and balsamic vinegar; sort of like a finger-bowl or cheese-and-crackers.

She sharpens her claws on whatever she pleases...no matter how many times she's been yelled at or water-mist-sprayed for it. She ignores her water bowl to drink from the toilet. We don't want her drinking from the toilet, so we put the seat down...she figured out how to lift it, we put a heavy book on it and later a plant on it...she knocked them to the floor. When she plays with the other cats, she seems to draw blood a lot. I don't think it's accidental. The vet and I had a long chat about whether there was any sort of cat-schizophrenia, kitty borderline-personality-disorder or feline-sociopathy that we might attempt to treat her for. He's stumped...the last time we brought her in...she bit him severely and repeatedly.

My favorite candy of all time is Godiva chocolate--specifically, the truffles with Gran Marnier, Kahlua, and other yummy "adult" flavors. My most common hangout involves my bed. If I'm at school and the weather is good, I love sitting in the grass on Woodburn Circle. We go whenever we have a few hours after classes, or whenever we're offered a ride from a friend. The latter is extremely rare, so we usually make a run once a week to grab whatever we can reasonably carry home from the bus stop. Days when we have to get dog/cat food are always difficult, because we buy big bags and then have to figure out how to get them home. Once, I came up with the brilliant idea of taking LyricKid's skateboard, a laundry basket, and a cane-handled umbrella to meet Rhythm at the bus stop. We centered the basket on the skateboard, put the heavy bags in the basket, and used the umbrella (hooked around the basket handle) to pull the whole thing home. It worked really well, actually! The weight of the bags kept everything nice and stable.

------------I don't dislike it, but I prefer salt based food. If I had to choose, though, I'd say See's Chocolates and Smarties.

2) Do you have a favorite hangout? How often do you go there?
------------my studio. Aside from this year, I'm usually there 9-12 hrs a day, 7 days a week unless there are kids around.

3) Are you a vegan or an omnivore? Please elaborate.
------------I'm an omnivore, but probably 90% vegetarian - not deliberately, just prefer non-meat foods. Even if cost were not an issue, I'd choose vegetable over meat. I am happy to eat things like cheese, etc., I'm not sure how one would categorize that... I used to be a serious carnivore - my family certainly is. Leg of lamb or roast beef are obsessed over. I pass. I have become more and more unhappy about the idea of eating things that had to be slaughtered and felt pain, so that is a component. I used to love to fish and I can't do it anymore... not just because I think about what the fish is going through, but what really stopped me was having to hook the worm. I couldn't do it anymore. Anyone who tells you that they feel no pain is lying.

4) Have you ever been caught on one of those camera traffic cameras and given a ticket in the mail?
------------Nope. Speeding is dangerous, selfish and rude.

5) Are you single or partnered? Either way, which would you rather be?
------------Divorced, single. I'd love to be partnered with a mutually-respectful and intellectually curious best friend. (I've actually found the right one, but I'm not presently equipped to pursue anything).

6) Do you have freeper relatives? If so, how do you deal with them?
------------Not really... I have one conservative sibling who's really not politically engaged, passionate or vocal enough to be called a freeper. My ex is an R, very narrow-minded and bigoted, (he actually told the kids not to tell anyone he voted for McCain) but he's too self-absorbed to really engage in political discourse, so I don't think he qualifies. Or maybe he's overqualified given that description. : )

7) What is your favorite genre of TV programs or movies?
------------Non-fiction: news/politics, documentary, history, nature, Antiques Roadshow, etc. Exceptions are: Jon Stewart, Craig Ferguson, As Time Goes By, Keeping Up Appearances and the lunatic Who's Line Is It Anyway, but I never see them because I never pay attention to when they're on. I listen to television rather than watch it, so it usually just stays on one channel and leave it at that. I've boycotted FOX for a year, now and have no intention of ever breaking my protest.

8) Do you shop for necessities weekly? Monthly?
------------Necessities? I don't really shop. I'm mostly in pure survival mode, so my necessities are the bare minimum at best.

9) Do you have any pets that are or have been a "problem child"? Explain why, and how you handle it.
------------I fostered to cats that I finally realized were ferrets in disguise. Like no cats I've ever had or known. They weren't anti-social or hostile or ill-behaved, they were basically comical - but they Never.Let.Up. Ever. I still feel guilty for not liking them, but they exhausted me. They were adopted by a family with several energetic kids, which was perfect. They were so.... strange.... If it wasn't 24/7 I would have been delighted by them, because they were so unique.

------------I've never posted anything interesting enough to deserve such attention. I'm not even sure what a locked thread would be.

Comedy. However, we now have another teenage girl living with us (my 13 yr old niece). If it goes anything like the last one, I'm gonna be a huge fan of teenager shows again. (Last time it was Buffy, Gilmore Girls, Degrassi, stuff like that.)
