I don't have any plants in the house and he's eating the same food he's eaten for 2 years. Nothing new except boxes and packing. He's got clean water and is a little more ornery than usual. He's almost 16 and I love him so much. I'm going stay up with him. This isn't like him at all. :(

5 series so far. He even did the "oh no" that Gracie did when she got car sick. Never heard Widget talk like that before. He's coughing more than usual too. Damn.

10. The episodes are farther apart |
|
And hes curled up on the bed next to me. He's never been quite this prolific before.
He's also very "busy" and mouthy.

he's purring, he won't stop licking my hand and he's trying to bite the power cord. I'll call you if he gets bad again.
Love you sweetie.

Does he seem lethargic or in pain? On the bright side it could be just stress from the boxes and packing...

and all bodily functions are very normal. He just jumped up on the bed and is licking my hand while I type.
Oh, and he's purring.

16. Regardless, I'll take him to the vet this week |
|
At his age, if he's stressed, it's bad. I want to know if there's something that can help him get through the next month. It's not going to be pretty. If we end up in Oregon, my mother doesn't like cats at all. She'll be hissing at him to leave the room. This will add to his stress (and mine) because he's such a sweet guy.

4. Has Widget swallowed something he can't digest? |
|

Ye may need to get him to the vet... my little Gandalf started puking like that until he starting puking bile. After an X-ray we discovered he had swallowed a small plastic tube that was stuck in his stomach.

he likes to eat plants and food he finds, but he's never eaten stuff before. I'll keep an eye on him tonight and if he's still puking, take him in tomorrow.
I'll try some canned food in the meantime. Maybe he's having trouble chewing his dry food now. (so far, he's not puking bile...)

15. If he's still eating and doesn't seem to be in any pain, then he might be okay. |
|
Gandalf started looking listless after a while, didn't move around, and showed no energy (he was only 1 at the time). I knew something was awry.
But if he's still energetic and eating, I'm sure it's only temporary.

You are also having a bad life right now.
Kitties (and pups) are sensitive to stuff like that.

13. Usually it is hairballs |

this is brown liquid (his food is dark brown). I don't see any solids in it.
He's laying here purring now. Go figure...

21. I think it is stress. Pets are so sensitive to that, and you've been through so much. |

20. maybe it is just the stress of the move? |
|
cats can sense these things.
I know more about taking care of sick pups than kitties...but try giving him some bland food...maybe some boiled chicken?
Keep us up to date on how he is doing. Call at Thomcat's if you want to talk. We are still trying to negotiate a peace agreement between my pups and Silver (Millie is actually ok with the dogs...for now...)
