Wife dies-misses first Super Bowl ever in their marriage
A fan's priorities

From SteelersFever.com:

A young man was excited because he just won a ticket to the Super Bowl. His excitement was lessened when he realized his seat was in the back of the stadium. So he searched for a better seat, and he found an empty one right next to the field.

He approached the man sitting next to the empty seat and asked if it was taken.

The man replied, "No."

Amazed, the young man asked, "How could someone pass up a seat like this?"

The older gentleman responded, "That's my wife's seat. We've been to every Super Bowl together since the day we were married, but she passed away."

"Oh, how sad," the man said. "I'm sorry to hear that, but couldn't you find a friend or a relative to come with you?"

"No, the man said, "They're all at the funeral." - From Wire Reports

2. Two golfers were teeing up as a funeral procession passed.
One of the men stopped, took off his hat and stood silently with his hat over his heart. After a moment his golf partner said, "That kind of respect is uncommon in today's society. It's kind of a nice thing to see."

The other man replaced his hat, shrugged and then swung at the ball. As he watched it arc out of sight he replied, "Seems the least I could do. After all, we were married for 37 years."
