So, I didn't bother to follow Fringe after the pilot episode. Is it still a weak X-Files ripoff? |
|
Is it even remotely worth watching?

2. John Noble plays a mad scientist who's actually insane |
|
He obsesses over cotton candy, likes brewing his own LSD, and has never met a pill he didn't like. :D
The show's okay. I don't set reminders for it, but I usually watch it when it's on.

I think the show suffers from multiple personality disorder. I would rather the show concentrate on the crazy scientist, his son and that female FBI lab assistant. Instead, we get all this drama about the supposed main character, Elizabeth, which seems tacked on.

6. It's gotten slightly better since the hiatus, but it's still pretty low on my watch priority |
|
I just don't buy the female lead at all.
The crazy scientist is pretty good though.

7. I was out after the third episode. |

The writers fell into the formula of having the mad scientist invent a magical device that allowed the others to solve that week's plot point. (i.e., an electronic gizmo that hooks into someone's brain and displays their memories as a two camera, full color replay on a T.V. screen)
