Fire extinguisher training at work with LIVE FIRE!
Sign me up!

It has absolutely nothing at all to do with my job (unless my cube bursts into flames), but how often to you get to play with a fire extinguisher and live fire?

Gotta seize the moment when it arrives, that's all I'm saying.

I have no idea why they would be offering us this training, but I'll take one for the team. I'm a team player, I am.

12. If they didn't have a fascination with fire, they wouldn't be pyromaniacs.

5. I did this for a company I used to work for.
We all met a fireman in the parking lot. He had a metal box, probably about a square yard horizontally, and about 18" tall. He started a fire in the box, and handed each of us a fire extinguisher. One at a time, we pulled the pin and put out the fire. I don't remember what he used as fuel for the fire. One person had a hard time with the pin.

The experience was good, but not thrilling.

15. You probably could do it in your BBQ grill.
Having a practice run with a fire extinguisher is usually a good idea for most adults and teenagers (I don't know if a child could pull the pin).

21. I did that once. It was hella fun.
Actually, I organized it. It's surprisingly easy to do for an organization. Ask the fire department if they'll come by, and ask your extinguisher supplier if they'll give you a few freebies. Fun times for all! :)
