12. That was actually a line on Cheers
the guys at the bar found out that Rebecca had had an embarrassing nickname back at UConn, so they kept asking her about Connecticut.

Rebecca: "Why do you guys keep asking me about Connecticut all of a sudden?"

Norm (?) "'Cause we're such big fans of their football team, the, uh, Fighting Insurance Salesmen".

As for Salt Lake City, if they're going to keep "Utah Jazz" :eyes: , the Hornets should change to the "New Orleans Tabernacle Choir". :P

8. what's the point of another NFL season
at the SAME time as the regular NFL and college football? Why not a spring/summer league instead. How many "best in the world" players do they really think they can draw away from the NFL? The goal of college players is to play on SUNDAY, not Thursday, lol.

16. I agree, a winter league stocked with NFL players
playing in the temperate parts of the nation (Feb-April) would make more sense. It could be a way for young talent to develop, with some playing time. Like the NFL Europe was, when it first started out.

17. a developmental league would be a great idea
have the minor leagues play from March-June. It would allow newly drafted college players get first hand experience of the NFL without the pressure of the actual season. Open it up to veterans who need improvement and hell, allow walk-ons players. If you're good enough to handle the NFL D-League, you get a shot at the real season when training camp opens in July.

9. They could just reuse the old XFL names....
....given that the UFL will probably last just as long.
