1. Happy to see Berkeley is still Berkeley.
Does anyone remember Ex-Swami-X from Sproul Plaza in the mid 1970's?

3. He was a street performer/political comedian who did a thing on the
plaza every day for passing the hat money. He was great on politics and religion, and he once stood Jim Jones down, called him a crazy Son of a bitch when the SF area politicos were kissing Jones's ass and having their photos taken with him...This was in 1975.
FWIW, I was a few feet from Jones, and I could feel the hate and craziness coming off him. I had forgotten about him till I saw the massacre on TV years later.
"I used to be Swami Ex, but I gave it up, so now I'm Ex Swami X."

He was great.
