1. shit, I had no idea!
I've payed so little attention to sports, and especially US soccer of the last few years that I totally forget. How are the teams matched? I know that for the last several years the US has been better enough that I wouldn't be too worried about it, but I also remember when Mexico were one of the best in the world. I would hate to see the US out of the next world cup.

2. The U.S. *should* win handily. I keep hoping they'll improve.
It'd be nice to cheer for my home team past the first round of the World Cup.

In the meantime, I root for Argentina.

5. OMG the stadium where it's being played is only 3 miles
from my house. The westher is supposed to be rainy, windy and mild on Wednesday.
