37. Yep, I made the mistake about bringing up abortion.

I can't even begin a debate about it... Wife is nearly 11 weeks pregnant and we had our first ultrasound.

I therefore have perfect flamebait: post the subject "Would you terminate THIS?" and then post a picture of my newly conceived baby, and tell them its yours.

My personal opinion on abortion without too many details is this: legal, with oversight and restrictions depending on length of pregnancy, reason for termination, etc. Also pre and post counselling with abortion MUST happen. If it's coupled with a pro adoption program with support for the pregnant mother then I'd support that. But enough said on the subject.

Where both sides of the camp are more interested in shouting lame bumper sticker slogans at each other and trying to paint the opposite side in the worst possible light than actually trying to discuss things rationally and working to find some common ground with each other.

Growing up and knowing people--otherwise good people--on both sides of the debate, it just frustates the hell out of me what a caraciture the whole issue has become. Which is why I tend to divorce myself from both camps.
