Edited on Wed Feb-11-09 10:21 AM by BeachBaby
Closest we ever got to these temps on this day, was allllll the way back in 1887 - and even then it only hit 66 degrees.

My Kitt car is most certainly getting her bath today. :woohoo:

Edited for geographic clarification. :P

1. We're supposed to hit 54 degrees today
But it's already warmer than that, even if Weather Channel is saying it's 48 here.

6. You're warmer than Phoenix today.
We had 2 big storms come through here and it's cooled off dramatically. Today's high is expected to be only 62 and that's down from the high 70s and low 80s that we had a week ago.

Enjoy the break from the cold! :hi:

33. A lot of people don't realize it can get cold in the desert.
I used to live in Tucson. It gets colder there than in Phoenix and the mountains around Tucson are incredibly beautiful.
I have to admit that we laugh when we see tourists in the winter wearing shorts and teeshirts on cold days because they didn't realize that it's not always 100 degrees. I hope you are enjoying your visit to this beautiful state. I love it here! :hi:

Our heat wave is supposed to last two days. I went home for lunch, broke up the ice taking up my parking spot, opened the windows in the house, pulled the blind up for window-kitty action, walked do deli place, ate, walked back.

Freakin nice!

it's going to warm up just enough in n. colorado to melt some of the snow we got last night and then they're calling for snow for the next three or four days.

i shouldn't complain though, we've had our share of the 70s for the winter and need the snow
