My name is KamaAina and I had an orange tabby
his name was Sean Timothy Michael Murray, or just Seanie. We used to call him "the sponge" because he was so mellow he would let you do almost anything to him. His purr registered on the Richter scale several towns over.

7. He lived in the mid-'70s to early '80s
I am presently trapped in the latest in a sequence of no-pets hellholes.

I did, however, see a similar orange tabby sleeping under a bush this morning on the way into work.

9. And I love tuxedo cats. And orange tabbies too. I am just a cat lover I guess.
But I'm a catless cat lover for the time being.

3. I had an orange tabby
Piggy was her name.

I got her as a kitten while I was teaching English in Taiwan and brought her back with me. She lived to be 16. I still miss her.

4. Mine was the same way.
He let himself be used as a kitty-trainer for my nieces and nephews when they were still so small they couldn't really handle cats. I would tell them to hold their arms out straight in front of them like rods, and I'd put Tigger on there, like putting a container on a shelf. He didn't mind a bit.

Needless to say, the kids loved Tigger way more than his littermate sister, a much more picky and perturbably cat. Many times I heard the kids say, "I only like one of your cats."

5. I have two orange tabbies
One, I suspect, had been feral (I adopted both of them when they were about 3 years old). He has never really warmed up to us and only lets me pet him when I am in the john.

The other one is a lot more cuddly, but really does not purr very loudly.

6. Our orange tabby is the same way. The worst is when he comes in at night
when you are sleeping, lays down next to your head and starts "purring", or should I say BUZZING! Plus he weighs 21 lbs!

8. We have had Cognac the Kitty Beast, Brandy (Snifter) and now Simba
for the past 12 years.

Here is Simba when he was playing Caped Crusader, many years ago.
