To hook up to the Internet, (so as to play games with others around the world,) does it have to have a hard drive?

and it's only a guess (and I didn't know they even made them without hard drives) is that you do not need a hard drive.

3. I'm a PS3 guy, so I'm not sure |

but I think the Arcade version (the one they advertise for $199) has no hard drive.

6. That's correct, but the hard drives are removable so you can slap one on it. |
|
It's nifty... friends can bring their hard drives to each other's houses and stuff.

5. Well, if you want to save any of the games obviously you'd need one, but other than that no. |
|
If you get the arcade version, you get an SD card to save games on, but that isn't a ton of space either.
