Well I went downtown today to visit the new library and got a library card.
I had one years ago but the city said I owed money, I didn't.

So I figured the city must have removed all the old records by now.

The new library is very cool.

It has WiFi, and lots of computers.

You can even borrow a a laptop for 2 hours and use it there in the library.

Almost all the computers were in use which is good.

The table top computers were really nice.

Now while I was walking out I overhead a couple of kids talking with their mother.

One kid asked were there really silent movies.

The other kid said yes.

The silent movies were in black and white and had words to read on the screen.

The first kid then asked her mother, did you like watching silent movies when you were a kid.

The look on the mother's face so funny.

1. lol!
That's funny about the mother's reaction, and that the kids thought she was old enough to have watched them back then ;)

I wasn't aware of a new library. Where is it in relation to the previous one downtown, and can I get to it from the train? :)

2. I call it the new library still, I am the old.
The city really fixed up the new library.

I been meaning to go there but never had the time.

You can ride the little train and walk over, just a few blocks.

They have some really nice table top computers, don't know abou the laptops.

You just need a library card, bring you drivers license or state ID to get one.

3. LOL!
On a more serious note, I wish more people, particularly younger people, would watch silent movies. There are so many classic ones to watch, and it's interesting to see the technical progression movies have made since then.

One of the funniest scenes ever -- from Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times," which has often been called the last great silent movie.

4. I like to watch silent movies.
I knew someone who played music during the silent movies, she was just a kid.

6. This library is just a short drive or a bus ride, which is better.
I don't like finding parking downtown.

The bus stops at library.

I think the free wifi is the best.
