So "everybody" hates soccer and Mexico, so the U.S. won, AND
* the game was exciting...

* I didn't know that teams were being eliminated BEFORE the World Cup. I thought everybody went to play at the event (like the Olympics) and got eliminated over there, but what do I know.

* I couldn't BELIEVE this thing was being played in Columbus, Ohio, with FROST being scraped off the floor.

7. What strikes me is that this particular sport is so FLUID!1
I mean, American football is so military, like chess. Basketball is so (I give up), like tennis, back and forth.

Yet, this soccer thing is weirdly difficult.
