Chris Squire of Yes hospitalized. Shows postponed.
The only official word from the Yes camp is that some shows and appearances have been postponed due to a medical emergency. Various reports indicate that Squire was rushed to the hospital after a soundcheck (in Houston, I think), and that he has a blood clot in his leg. I'm keeping an eye on about 4 different message boards to get the latest info.

1. Sending out healing vibes to Chris...
..."Fish Out Of Water" is a real favorite of mine, one of those rare albums that stuck in memory not only because of its superior music but also because of what was going on in my life at the time.

In recent years, "Days of Wonder"...from the "Conspiracy" project with former Yes member Billy Sherwood...was one of those Squire songs that could have come from "Fish Out Of Water," and far superior to anything that surfaced on the last few Yes albums.

Get well soon Chris.

2. Oh, dear. Healing vibes to Chris.
Of all the musicians I have seen perform live, I have never seen anyone have more fun on stage than Chris Squire. He is simply a joyful musician.

May he have many more years of fun with the band.

4. Ach! How sad. But our rock and roll heroes are all into their 60s, and so won't last a lot longer...

So Squire gets a blood clot, but Beyonce, Brittney, Paula Abdul, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kenny G, Dave Matthews, and all those shitstains just keep cranking out their shit with no health problems.

Makes me wonder, sometimes, if there is a God; and if there is a God, does he really care about art?
