When you go to an ATM machine and take money out you then get a balance of what |
|
you have in your account. Last week I got one that said I had $1400.00 in my account. Thing is that wasn't right. Is it possible that the atm machine was wrong? Or did I pick up somebody else's receipt? Anybody else had experience like this?

1. It's possible that someone else's deposit got made to your account |
|
Or if the amount is short, it's possible that someone else made a withdraw from your account.
I opened an account one time and I declined the counter checks they normally give you because I had no need for checks until I received my order. The bank gave the next guy to open an account my counter checks (because they didn't throw them away). When he made his house payment my account got debited. A couple of weeks later when I made my house payment, I bounced several checks.
The bank took care of everything, but it was a bit frustrating for a while.

2. I just went to the bank and got a printout. I never had $1400.00 in my account. |

I must have picked up someone else's receipt or something. I called them thinking perhaps that someone had taken money out of my account but all my withdrawls are accounted for. I just never had that much money in my account.
