8. I can get drunk on ice cream. I love ice cream more than liquor.
Except for gin & tonic made with Tanqueray 10. But you can't drink that before Memorial Day; it just isn't done, like wearing white shoes.

17. Townsend's Solitaires are related to robins.
They live in areas with juniper forests, and one bird can eat 20,000 juniper berries in a year.

Have you ever eaten ONE juniper berry? x(

31. one of my creations....
It's like a cosmo, but with a little hint of peach, and enough blue curacao to make them purple (in honor of my alma mater... LSU!!!)

I first made them at a tailgate party for an LSU football game, and word spread around our site. All of my (gay) friends were sucking them down one after the other, but.... well.... let's just say I got some straight ladies EXTREMELY intoxicated that evening....

44. Sure- It's no secret.....
2-3 oz vodka
3 oz cranberry juice cocktail
1 oz of cointreau, grand marnier, citronge, triple sec (orange liqueur- take your pick)
0.5 oz of peach schnapps
splash of sour mix
splash of blue curacao (strictly for color- if you're a harvard, bama, or UGA graduate- the red color might be more appropriate)

into a cocktail shaker with ice... shake and serve in a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

I've altered it over time. I used to put some rose's lime in it in lieu of the sour mix- it's good both ways. I typically make mine with 2 oz of vodka, but some hardcore drinkers might want it a bit 'stiffer.'

Just be sure to go easy on the peach schnapps- too much, and it overpowers everything else. the 0.5 oz measurement should be considered a MAX amount.

enjoy!

59. LOL....
yeah, I never had the blue curacao until I started making these... but since it's orange based- it's really not necessary for this drink (other than the purple color, which takes some practice). You've already got the Cointreau in there.

For the record, I use De Kuyper peach schnapps, but they all seem to be more or less the same.

39. Think of it as Ultra Guinness
Dark brown with a caramel head. Nice malt filled nose with a touch of roasted malt in the background. Strong roasted malt with a hint of cocoa that covers the initial alcohol with a bitter chocolate aftertaste.

Very, very yummy.

68. It is not sweet; It is similar to Guinness Stout, but with chocolate aftertaste
I found it by accident at my local Liquor store, mentioned it to my wife, and she decided to buy it for me as a birthday present.

It is brewed in New York, but it follows Belgian brewing methods. I was impressed.

My wife liked it too.

Anyway, here is the company's web page:

Feb 2, 2009: The Beverage Tasting Institute in Chicago, Illinois has tastes and tested Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence, It awarded the beer a Gold Medal and rated it at 92 points (exceptional.)
