A followup question to my prior question about neutered dogs |
|
I am just curious:
When you castrate a human being, they gain a ton of weight.
Since my dog seems to be overweight even though I feed him very moderately and we exercise sixty to ninety minutes a day, could the fact that he is neutered have anything to do with the fact that he seems a bit pudgy in spite of all these measures I'm taking to keep him trim?
To put it rather crudely, does removal of his balls make him tend to gain weight no matter what I do?

I have never experienced that before with a dog. Mine never have.

3. He's a black Lab. I've never seen it in a dog either, but I was just curious. NT |

He's either eating too much (or the wrong food), not exercising enough, or has a hormonal issue.
Mick is neutered and he's fucking ripped.

4. Not sure about dogs, but neutered cats can get a little pudgy. |
|
One of my two boys (ex-boys, actually) has porked up a bit, though he claims he's just fluffy. I suppose it's because they get less exercise because they aren't out cruising for hot women. Or maybe they overeat because they're despondent at the loss of their manhood.

5. How much does he weigh? |
|
Some labs are quite stocky depending on if they come from English or American blood lines.
I don't think neutering influences their weight.

I was talking to my coworker this week about that very matter. I asked her why it was when you neutered a cat they get heavy, but when you DON'T castrate a bull they get HUGH !
