This is very true.

When I was very young people thought I was shy.

I was not.

I was watching and thinking.

I think I was born a old soul.

Any more quiet ones out there, old souls, or both.

Now I need to get ready for work.

I will check back in a few hours.

Y'all have fun.

1. Agreed
People in my class thought I was a snob because I didn't talk much and seemed very aloof. I was observing. :P

:hi:

3. Another old soul.
I didn't speak very much when I was pre-school.

My Aunt thought I was deaf, I wasn't.

I was observing and thinking.

Wow, someone gave me a heart.

Thank you so much whoever you are.

5. People still think that about me
I am not a snob. I am cautious about making new relationships. I want to make sure you are worthy of my attention before I give it to you. If you are not worthy, stop looking, you are not getting anything.

7. You've got an old soul, my daughter
You've also got an amazing heart and compassion and empathy to spare. People you've allowed into your life are lucky to know you.

2. I was, and am, both shy and sharp-tongued.

The best moments are when you crack a joke, and have about half of the people react immediately, while the other half takes just that extra moment to figure out what just happened before they respond. All because you picked up on something that everybody else missed the first time around.

Yeah, that's fun.

4. Being quiet has it good points.
You learn a lot by listening.

If I have something to say I will speak up.

6. Yup
That'd be me. A nice, quiet old soul. Regrettably, the rest of me's catching up to it. Ah, well...

:hi:

12. We really do.
My life hasn't had any 'routine' to it for over a year now.

I miss 'boring'. Almost as much as I miss talking to you.

9. I have two modes when I first meet people.
One is quiet while I try to figure out just how much of me they'd be able to endure before running for their lives. If I like them, I want to hold back some so they won't run for their lives. If I don't like them, I turn into the full on real weird ass unleashed crazy ass me and make them run straight into the Devil's arms...for protection!

The other mode is private comedy routines in my head. If I all of a sudden bust out laughing at practically nothing, my latest thought was probably unfit for human ears, but funny as hell to me. People honestly used to think I was crazy because I would laugh like that without letting anyone else in on the joke. It really helps if I have one person I know pretty well with me, so I won't seem quite so crazy.

14. Yes, it's always the quiet ones who seem normal
until one day, you find the bodies in their basement or they show up to work with a rifle. Everyone will say he/she seemed like such a polite, quiet neighbor. They never suspected.
