What's the biggest obstacle you face with ADD/ADHD?
For me, my biggest problem stems from a lack of motivation, combined with pervasive procrastination. For whatever reason, the thrill of barely squeeking by with great results keeps me coming back for me.

in a last minute frenzied dash, and then the high praise for getting something amazing together on the fly. :)
Ever work as a staffer on a political campaign?
:freak:

2. No, I haven't.
One of the wonderful side effects of my meds is an aversion to people. I get social anxiety. It's a bitch.

3. For me, it's not just about motivation
If it's something I'm interested in, motivation is not a problem. In fact, I can focus in on something with great precision and fortitude regardless of the adversity.

The hardest part is focusing on something in which I'm not at all interested. The exact opposite happens and even simple tasks can be nearly impossible.

5. I know exactly what you mean.
When I find something I'm interested in, I hyperfocus on it, and become completely engulfed in it. If it is something I do not want to do, it seems almost excruciating to force myself to do it.

4. I have a chronic case of it
I can't sit still long enough to focus and watch a movie. I can't even watch TV anymore. The computer is the only thing I can do. I am like a little kid, I need that ever changing stimuli.

I have gone to parties, had a good time, then someone breaks out a movie and they all gather around to watch. I always leave and go home.

7. Lack of concentration
My attention span is like that of a three-year-old. Maybe worse.

8. Mine is completing things...
I tend to get bored pretty quickly, when I am first starting on a project or learning about a topic I cannot spend enough time on it but as soon as it gets even the tiniest bit repetitive I have to force myself to see it through to the end. Thank God for modern pharmaceuticals!
