6. HyperText just means that it's regular text, but with code inserted that can add attributes |
|
like changing color, font, alignment, adding links, inserting tables and pictures, ect. Hypertext Markup Language is just the fancy official name given to the particular language of this code. Programming languages have names like C or BASIC, ect. Hypertext Markup Language is the name of this particular code language. So HTML is just a standard kind of code that all web browsers can understand. For a simple example, the tag <BR> in HTML means 'start a new line'. So if I open up notepad and just type
Test<BR>hello world
save that as a .html file and open it in IE or Firefox or any other web browser it will look like
Test hello world
Because it reads the text, but it also does whatever the tags inside a <> bracket thingy tells it to do. :) Which in this case tells it to start a new line right after the word Test.

7. Going out on a limb here. |

I doubt they like you very much either. How would you feel if someone went on the internet and just posted they hate you (3 times). Computers are people too, they have feelings. :P
