Life with Sebastian
So we have to get a new couch because our old one totally croaked(every cushion is a different height - LOL). We moved half of it (a sectional) into the dining room to make room and start cleaning for the new couch we're getting. Well, after a while I noticed the cat was missing. So, I start calling for him, and I hear nothing. I'm looking around and calling for him, finally coming to the conclusion that he must have been practicing his Houdini impersonation and slipped outside unnoticed. Suddenly, I hear the littlest meow. I go searching for the sound.....searching......searching, and finally find him INSIDE the couch we moved. I have no idea how he got in there, but we had to rip the bottom of the couch off to retrieve him.

Don't you just LOVE cats?

I'm glad we were already getting rid of the couch. :eyes:

Sebastian:

No, he's not a trouble maker or anything!

1. I've had kitties do that with couches and beds.
How the hell do they get themselves into those predicaments?

Sebastian is a cutie! He looks like a cross between my brown tabby and my grey tabby.

3. I could not find where he got in.
I still have no idea. It sits flush with the floor, so he didn't crawl underneath it.

It boggles the mind. It's a good thing cats are cute. :P

:hi:

"It's a good thing she's so cute!" :)

5. That would have been the end of poor Sebastian.
We are pretty sure that the one time he got out and went missing, that he ended up in the back of a truck and taken a good distance. They were doing construction around our apartments at the time and there were always trucks in the parking lot. He came home one week later to the minute smelling like the road. He's neutered, so it's not like he went off to find a girlfriend. He was completely traumatized and can't even stand to be in the car anymore.

4. What a beautiful cat
I am jealous :D

I am reading a book right now by a German comedian who has a over 20years old cat. He wrote about his cat and stories about her and others. It is so hilarious. It is exactly how he describes it. It cracks me up. I see my late cat in that book. And others do too.

:hi: How are you doing?

8. Sebastian thanks you.
Although, he knows he's beautiful, so that just makes him rottener. Want him?

Nah. I wouldn't trade him for the world even though he's a PITA, especially the older he gets.

That sounds like a very sweet book. Cats are so funny and quirky. Just when you think you've seen it all, they surprise you with something new...like getting stuck inside a couch.

I'm doing pretty good. Same ol' same ol'. How are you? :hi::hug:

18. I would love to have a cat again
I just don't know if I have the time for her or him or them. So I decided against a cat ... at the moment. That might change sooner or later.

How old is Sebastian?

I am doing good. Enjoying my new place, working a lot, partying every now and then ... normal life so to speak :D

21. Get two so they can keep each other company when you're away.
That should work out splendidly! Twice the diabolical kittiness.

Sebastian will be 10 in April.

Glad things are working out in your new place. The pictures of it looked wonderful.

17. I have three.
Luckily, they are all over the age of 3. That seems to be when they start calming down. Relatively. It still doesn't keep them from disappearing at random moments, knocking things off, shredding things, etc. etc. But they are good companions! :D

I can't imagine how they sound running across the floor. Sebastian alone sounds like a herd of wildebeest.

12. We were enclosing our carport and had reached the point where the
sub flooring only lacked one board being complete. I was paranoid about the cat getting shut up in the space, so I went looking for her and found her asleep on the bed. We put the board down, had lunch and then heard a muffled meow from under the floor. Yep, she did. Never did figure out how she managed that little trick.

And they seem to only use their powers to confound their humans.

Next time, someone hold the cat while the last board goes down.

24. I knew cats were up to no good.
They are probably waiting for all the humans to die off because of our carbon output, and will take over the world using this immaculate transportation.

Evil kitty geniuses.

He would have been loaded in the garbage truck, too.

I don't even want to think about it. *shakes head*
