12. Oh yes
I take C and D for my immune system (and I haven't had a cold all winter, nya-nya-nya-nya-nya), and a B combo and mineral combo for my moods. When I DON'T take the latter is when I notice the effect on my moods.

Mega multi vitamin
Sublingual b-12
B-complex
Fish oil
Calcium with vit D
Vitamin D
Calcium complex
Fiber supplement
L-Tyrosine

I think that's it (for now). Obviously dealing with some health issues here....

Nope, just thought of more:
St. John's Wort
Adreset (adrenal support)
Pro-biotics
Oh hell, that's enough even if I think of more. Grumble grumble...

18. I'm taking vitamins as I try and loose weight. Specially Vitamin C with flavanoids (which I have to
buy tomorrow) and a multivitamin for weight loss (which so far has done nothing as far as I can tell). But the multivitamin has 1000 Vitamin D in it so I'll keep taking it.

22. No. there is no scientific evidence they are necessary.
Except for people who have an actual vitamin deficiency. Plus they are not regulated by the FDA for safety and efficacy; there is no proof that what they say is in the bottle is actually in the bottle.

We are lucky here in the states where you don't need a prescription for Vitamin C in excess of 500mg! :-)

41. Mine does too but I ignore him.
They don't always read the latest studies. Those studies though are hard to evaluate because they usually just follow people over a period of years but do not take into account they vitamins that people get from food, naturally. So maybe the just is still out. I simply do not trust the manufacturers of these vitamins to tell me what is actually in the bottle.

I take a multivitamin that is completely overloaded with the various vitamin Bs. It helps immensely with my anxiety, and makes my pee a rather vibrant yellow, to boot.

multivitamin with minerals...though I had to switch to a men's formula rather than the general multivitamin, as my iron was getting too high.

The fish oil is actually prescribed by my doc for my cholesterol.

They are a waste of money because there's no proof they do any good. Most of them get pissed away...literally.

Except for maybe any gain that can be attributed to a placebo effect, they are the biggest scam going.
