I'm officially dropping out... |
|
I'm soooo sick of spending hours filling out fricking custom online applications for jobs I have almost no chance of getting and wouldn't really want if I did get them (apart from the crappy paycheck).
I used to be a really good employee... pathetically honest, pathologically early, nauseatingly conscientious. Now I could really give a fuck. I feel sorry for anyone who would hire me, I'm so completely demotivated. I can barely even fake enthusiasm in cover letters.
Anyone want to start a commune in the greater Seattle area? The best job I ever had was on a sheep farm in college.
Alternately, do you know any good things I could get involved in with my free time? World bettering volunteer stuff? Non-violent channels for repressed rage?

3. Custom online applications for jobs... |
|
Set those aside.
You need face to face contact.
Pick some companies you would like to work for and walk in, application in hand.
You'd be surprised how much more positively people respond to other people, than to pieces of paper.
Hang in there!
