So I'm here in DC, well Silver Springs, but it's close enough for rock n roll... |
|
Anyway, I get up here at least once a year and visit what I guess would be my best freind. We met through politics and he is one of the smartest people I know. I'm smart, but not like him. We have loads of fun talking about anything uder the sun.
Oh we get down towork as well, He is a political consultant and I do his books.
I'm like the Rick Moranis charactor in Ghost Busters when he plans out a party so he can deduct it as a business expense...
Anyway, I'll be here for a few days. He has a three year old. Not use to being around kids that young. Should be fun.

4. As long as you're in Silver Spring, |
|
that's "Spring," singular, you really should go to this place for at least one meal - it's a great old place: http://www.tasteediner.com/menu.html

Here's a tip not many know:
Try eating at Mama Ayesha's on Calvert Street off of Connecticut Avenue.
It is a very old Lebanese restaurant with a very 1890s high-brow decor. You feel transported back a century. The food is absolutely amazing, and it also happens to be Helen Thomas' favorite place. She eats there fairly often, so if you see her, tell her hi from the son of her late Gridiron colleague who hangs out in Germany. She'll know whom you mean!
