Is it just me or is this winter lasting forever?
The bitter cold and snow in the Chicago area have eased up a bit, but more snow and cold is in the offing later this week. I've tried to get out when weather permits, but I'm about crawling out of my skin right now.

It's gotten so bad that I've been looking at the national map to see how far I would have to drive for a break.

3. Winter in California just started two weeks ago
If you've got any extra water you're not using, we'd be happy to take it from you. :D

4. we had a week of 50s and 60s but now it has gotten cooler
but this is hardly forever. I can remember in the 1990s at least that it was snowing like it was gonna stick - in May. People were just horrified. I went into the bank singing "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!"

Of course, now one of the major advantages to living in the Kansas City area are the relatively short and relatively mild winters. Although I noticed too that Scottsbluff, Nebraska, well to the north, generally has even milder temperatures than we do.

5. I would definitely settle for that
I would be horrified, too, if I saw someone singing "Let it snow!" in May.

6. It is not just you. I realized just the other day that on mornings
when I drive my son to school, it is a true rarity to see the sun. Gray, gray days.

8. it's starting to feel like it
we've had a relatively mild winter here in n. colorado with not much snow, not many days of bitter cold and plenty of sunshine (we get about 300 days of sun a year), but i'm tired of the chill and the wind. i think it's more noticeable to me this year because i have to go outside to smoke and i walk to work at least a couple of times this week. we're also headed into our snowiest month of the year and that we can still get some nasty cold spells.

i can't wait for spring to get here.

9. Quit smoking
:-)

From a former smoker. I hated smoking in the winter, either you froze or you had to get all bundled up. It was miserable.

10. I still don't know what that Groundhog said, but
our Spring started in the beginning of February here. We've had a few colder days since then, but they are more like a spring sort of cold than a winter sort of cold. Plus, the birds are making like it's spring already. I guess Fall and those couple days of snow here in south central NC were what sufficed for our winter this year.

11. Quite the opposite....this has been a very mild winter in my opinion
We haven't seen that much snow ( like we used to ) and temperatures have been hovering around 50 here for the past couple of days....not like February at all, and normally February is a brutal month.

Don't fret though, the summer stink and humidity will be here soon enough x(

My husband says taking Vitamin D helps.... Have that husband of yours whisk you away somewhere warm!

14. Yeah, like we have money
That's part of the problem.

I already take Vitamin D. I think I just need spring and to be able to ride my bike and work in the garden again.

If we move, it will definitely be to somewhere warmer.

26. virtual Hawaii! ;)

Yeah, winter sucks big time. I'm totally sick of salting our really long sidewalk - our house is on a corner, on a bit hill where we get an inch or 2 extra snow compared to at the bottom of the hill. It's bizarre.

15. Well, winter certainly
is lasting forever here. Just got a bunch of snow last night, and it kicked in again this afternoon. Very pretty, but I'm truly getting tired of this. Enough - PLEASE!

I'm glad for the warmth. It's a trial, but at least it's warm.

23. For real. It's like the temperature will never climb out of the 70s.
I keep hoping to wake up to some triple digits, or just a decent 90, but no.

24. It's not just you.
I am not that far from you.

I had to go out tonight for a meeting. It was windy, cold and snowy. It will be just as bad for the rest of the week, and I don't have the luxury of staying in my house.

We have had enough.

25. I can't wait for this winter to end.
I have cabin fever due to a rare form of anemia. I get anemic from the cold 50 or below does me in and I also live 22 miles south of Chicago at least until my wife retires (51 months, but who is counting).
