Guitar geek assistance requested: ID this axe

This is the bass version, and there's also a guitar. I think it's a Gibson, but I'm having brain farts tonight. Anyone care to put me on the right track as to the make and model?

Thanks!

5. The bass version, shown in your image, is the Gibson Thunderbird.
The guitar version is called the Gibson Firebird:

There is also what's known as a 'non-reverse' Firebird made for a few years:

You may also be thinking of another guitar altogther, the Gibson Explorer, on which the Firebird was based. Bodywise, it has sharper edges. And here is one of the more famous users, the Edge, with his:

Be aware that Gibson has it's own knockoff brand, Epiphone, that makes guitars that look highly similar to the the original Gibson ones, but use cheaper materials.

9. Also, the Epiphone version of the Thunderbird uses a bolt-on neck,
and the Gibson has neck through construction. Huge difference in sustain and tone.
