The best movie catfight ever
Between Ginger Rogers and Frances Mercer in the 1938 film "Vivacious Lady", a really funny movie I caught on AMC about seven years ago. It also stars Jimmy Stewart as a small town college professor who goes into the city, at the request of his parents (Charles Coburn, who is also the college president) and Beulah Bondi, to rescue his younger brother from his girlfriend nightclub singer Ginger. Well, they meet, fall in love and get married that weekend and the rest of the movie is basically them trying to break the news...especially since Stewart is engaged to Frances.

I liked the movie so much I searched the TV listings for over a year for it to be shown again, but it never was before I had my cble cancelled. I searched for a vhs on ebay, apparently it is really rare beacause twice I saw it sell for about a hundred dollars! Never released on dvd.

So here is the short but funny part of the movie I remember the most...

2. they're using weapons, though...
plus there's blood and death...I guess I'm too old school...my choice pales in comparison but is over 70 years old...Kill Bill was a lot of fun to watch but I just don't like Quentin Tarentino...
