Dr. Feelgood down in Sacramento hooks it up, apparently. :o

2. Morphine goes stale.
Anything over a year old won't work any better than aspirin.

It starts to go stale after as little as 6 months.

If any of it is new stuff you stuff, well, do with it what you will. :) But destroy the older stuff. It's useless.

3. When my mother died....
The visiting nurse rushed over to get her pain meds. The morphine was in liquid form. I don't think they use it for anybody else; they just don't want it to be used by anyone other than the patient. It surprised me that that was the first thing they did. I was a little insulted, but I understood their reasoning.

4. That is standard practice.
They did the same thing at the hospice when my boyfriend died. They have to log it and then they destroy it. One of the nurses told me it is a law and any missing medicine must be reported.

5. Why do you want to OD an elephant?
What did the elephant ever do to you?

6. When my Dad died they left us two new, nearly full bottles of meds.

One was morphine, one was some type of muscle relaxant. I was surprised that no one ever came to get them.
