Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

So I need some help with something. So some years ago I met this guy. He and I and kinda started dating. Then he met this other girl, married her and had children. I think this marriage was and is a mistake, but it was his decision. We stayed in lose contact. I never called or contacted him. Then for a while the contact broke. Some months ago he emailed me again to my work addy. No problem. He is a nice guy. Now he starts calling me sweetheart and sexy and sends kisses (he asked if it is OK, I said it is but now he is overdoing it). He wants to meet me again but says we have to meet at my place because he doesn't want to be seen in public. His wife is overly jealous and doesn't allow him contact with old female friends. I feel not comfy with the thought of having him at my place. I believe he will try to hit on me and I don't want that. Whenever he writes about meeting I am not answering that question. But I don't want to stop the emailing either because I like him and he doesn't have many friends. What should I do?

Example yesterdays email

Hey Beautiful,

How are you feeling today?...Sexy I hope...:)

HELP!!!

1. I like both god kitty and the condor!
he's fluffy and sleepy! and the California Condor is majestic-looks like he's confined though, might he be from the Oregon program?

The condor ... I took the picture in a zoo in Germany.

3. Good morning, MissHC!
:hi: :loveya:

Nice pic!

Now, about the guy ... he's trying to make a move on you behind his wife's back. Just tell him you would have to meet in public if he wants to be friends. You don't want more than that. If he can't be honest with his wife, don't assume he'll be honest with you.

Hope that helps.

I don't want anything from the guy. I am fine with the emailing as it is. Meeting in public would be OK with me too. Just not at my place.

I woke up just before he left ... and he kissed me goodbye. Then I couldn't get back to sleep. I could use a bit more, but I guess I'm a little anxious.

Yep, I figured that. He doesn't sound very trustworthy.

They usually show up at around 8:00. So there's still time.

I shopped for a new camera last night. Only went to one store, found one I liked, and they didn't carry it. So why do they have it on display? Guess I'll order one from the internets. They are very reasonably priced now, as long as I don't get a fancy one like yours. :D

So help me out here. Should I "pre-order" the camera I want, knowing that the "tank" could die any day and then I'll be stuck waiting without one? (You know I need a camera daily for other stuff besides photographing your beautiful baby ...) Or get one that's already out and maybe then regret that I didn't wait?

Oh yeah! But it's funny, my one that broke is an Ixus, which is not the US version of a PowerShot xxx (don't know the numbers). We bought it online. Everything worked just fine for me. Well ... until it stopped working altogether the other day.

Not really; if you feel comfortable ignoring his requests to get together, I think its ok to enable you to continue your conversations. You might, at some time, have to/want to explain briefly your reason for doing what you've been doing.

20. Good Morning MissH

Hey Beautiful! Oops sorry:yoiks:

Unless he just wanted to be friends it would be ok IMHO.
But if that were true he would introduce you to his wife.

You might suggest to him that you meet for lunch at some place.
People bump in to each other all of the time.
He can call his wife while you are having a cup of coffee and tell her."Hey guess who I am having a cup of coffee with? I bumped in to her at blah blah blah." Yea it's sneaky. But it's much better than having a guy who you know likes you, alone with you in your apartment.
That way his wife knows and if anyone sees him with a strange woman .She will know who the strange woman is.
His ass is covered and you can get a better feel of what his motives are.
I don't know. I get the feeling that he wants a bit more than a glass of wine or coffee and some of your wonderful snacks.

What you can do that is probably better advice is to tell him that if he is looking for anything other than friendship that you are sorry but you aren't that person but you could always use a good friend.

 :loveya:

28. Good morning MissH!
Great condor picture. What luck to catch him/her in that pose.

Oh, and I must comment on your guy dilemma, and sorry, but I'm going to be harsh here. BREAK OFF ALL CONTACT WITH HIM - HE IS MARRIED

A while back I started e-mail contact with a guy, which ultimately grew to phone calls. We were so compatible in every way I thought I finally had met the guy of my dreams. We fed on each other jokes, etc. Unfortunately he failed to tell me he was married. His spouse found out about our e-mails and phone calls, and actually called me! She was so hurt, so betrayed, and even though I did not know of her existence, I felt like I had done something wrong, and I truly was sorry for causing such hurt. I immediately broke it off with the guy . . . and yes, he tried to continue contact, but I refused to answer.

I learned a very difficult lesson.

Now, your guy wants to meet in secret which lead me to believe his spouse does not know the two of you are communicating. I would never trust a guy like that and neither should you.

If the marriage is in a poor state, one should fix it or get out. Betrayal is not a fun thing to go through, and I have experience with that too.

Well, that's my two cents MissH.

 :hi: :loveya:

Thank you for your advice. I know that his wife doesn't know. I am OK with the email contact since he doesn't has many friends. But I am less and less OK with him wanting to meet me again.
I told me already some months ago that I don't feel comfy meeting him at my place. His comment "Don't you trust yourself?" and kept bugging me about it. You are right, the best thing would be to break off all contact.

49. It is a tough situation,
especially if you still have feelings, it's difficult being the strong one. In these situations I always put myself in the spouses/SO's place and ask myself how I would feel. And betrayed is always the answer.

You do what you feel is right for you, and wishing you good luck in your decision.

Sure wish today was Friday, but this week is going far better than last week. I'm going to start a fun, albeit tedious project today, so I'm looking forward to that.

52. I don't have deep feelings for him anymore
it ended before I could fall in love with him. But there was a connection. And yes, I am afraid those feelings would show up again. I definitely don't want to sleep with him. And the more he is bugging me with a meeting the more I want to say "No". I want it to stay as it is. Innocent emailing. Even though his emails aren't innocent anymore.

Thanks for the special hug.

58. I've already given you my
feelings on the situation, so I will not comment anymore. I just don't want to see you hurt, so please look out for yourself. *sigh* Just stay true to who you are, true to your convictions and you'll be okay.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to head out for work.

Good luck and wishing you a great day.

59. I really appreciate your thoughts
and in the end I know that I don't want to meet with him. Otherwise I already would have.

Have a great day.

50. Yes, I do and I'm speaking
from experience. I hope that MissH was not offended, but she has been through a lot relationship wise, and I know she'll make a decision that's best for her.

We are blanketed with a beautiful layer of snow today. I'm thinking that winter will never end. ;)

53. True.
I agree with you completely.

Well, when you put "snow" and "beautiful" in the same sentence, I'm thinking winter ain't so bad. :D Of course, you'll need to take some pics.

61. LOL! Yeah, those of us
that live in these parts can use snow and beautiful in the same sentence. We can also use "brisk" when it's a brazillion below zero.

Here's a pic of my patio. Needless to say I have not done too much grilling lately. I'll try to get more "beautiful" scenes for you soon.

Gotta head out for work, so I'm wishing you a great day.

I am doing fine. Except for the finger I slammed but that is more a bother than real pain.

Thank you for the advice.

Did you see the picture of my Simon at the beginning of the thread? :D

I coming more and more to the conclusion that I need to end the contact if he continues to push it in this direction instead of just talking as friends.
