1. I know. Just because some broad wears her hair in waves and
puts on some red lipstick.

3. There's a book to read that explains that.
"Femininity" by Susan Brownmiller.

She explains that "a return to femininity" is always going back to old styles, because rigid sex roles and rigid clothing styles are old fashioned.

The best looking dress I ever saw at the Oscars (Flattering) was a black form fitting long sleeved knit number that Oprah wore. It had silver and blue sequins around the V neck and down the sleeves, to draw attention to her neckline and away from her weight. It was made by Bob Mackie.

Absolutely gorgeous and following the accepted principles of what to emphasize and what to draw attention away from.

I don't like the women that wear strapless things that look like their racks are on the verge of non-nuclear fall out. I want to grab the dress under the arms and yank it up several inches!!

I don't advertise my assets by wearing super revealing clothing, myself.

Dresses I have liked:
I liked the charcoal grey silk taffeta number that Kate Winslet wore to the Golden Globes recently.

I liked the stunningly weird dress that Halle Berry wore when she got the Oscar for Monster's Ball.
The top half was mesh with embroidered flowers over the bust. The bottom half was heavy draped purple velvet, like a conventional formal dress. Not one woman in a thousand could have worn that dress and carried it off, but Halle DID.

First of all, your top half is practically naked, and you have to have a great figure as well. Even if I had a great figure, I wouldn't have the nerve to wear something that exposed.

But she rocked it well!!
