I'm going to the French Quarter this afternoon |
|
The Friday before Mardi Gras when the crowds start rolling in. Weather forecast looks good through Tuesday. REO Speedwagon and Kid Rock are playing before the Endymion Parade this afternoon. Anybody want me to toss some beads for them? I'll be on my favorite balcony at the corner of Bourbon and Orleans letting the good times roll.

2. I wouldn't recommend going |
|
on Mardi Gras day if you are the least bit claustrophobic. It gets incredibly crowded. But the four or five days leading up are a lot of fun without the pressing crowds.

6. I also don't drink, so I'd probably miss out on a lot of the inner meaning.... |

4. I'm sure you're going to |
|
have a grand time. And yes, please toss some beads for me too.
I've always wanted to visit the French Quarter, and New Orleans in general. Heard there are day cooking classes offered. Now that's something I'd be most interested in.
Hope you'll get a chance to take some pics and share with us.

8. They are awesome My Friend |
|
Especially at two in the morning. And the powdered sugar around the puckered lips of coeds from Omaha and Iowa City look so sexy. And don't forget a Muffaletta from Franks.

but I wasn't sure what it would taste like. They were really pretty, though! Bon ton roulez! (sp?)
on edit, I've been buying the Cafe Du Monde coffee, too, I figure every little bit can help businesses down there. (at least I hope it does!)
